Brief

The proposal seeks to create a new contemporary image for the centre by de-cluttering the main façade and giving it a clean, modern appearance with high quality materials. The visually dominant aluminium canopy will be removed and a contemporary stone surround will be applied to the shopfronts creating a uniform quality finish, complemented by a render and brick finish over the tired existing brick. Glazed double height lobbies will be added to both main entrances of the centre, acting as a focal marker to the customer as well as improving internal conditions in the mall areas. As well as this, general improvements will be made to the pavement area in front of the centre. The existing totem sign for the centre will also be replaced, to give the centre more prominence from Nutgrove Avenue and Nutgrove Way.
